Our Values
►All people are important to God and all people should be important to us!
| Luk 15:3 | So Jesus used this illustration: | | Luk 15:4 | "If you had one hundred sheep, and one of them strayed away and was lost in the wilderness, wouldn't you leave the ninety-nine others to go and search for the lost one until you found it? | | Luk 15:5 | And then you would joyfully carry it home on your shoulders. | | Luk 15:6 | When you arrived, you would call together your friends and neighbors to rejoice with you because your lost sheep was found. | | Luk 15:7 | In the same way, heaven will be happier over one lost sinner who returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven't strayed away! |
| ►Finding all truth is a matter of knowing and doing what God says in His Word the Bible.
| Hbr 4:12 | For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. |
►Biblical truth is for everyone of all cultures!
| 1Cr 9:19 | This means I am not bound to obey people just because they pay me, yet I have become a servant of everyone so that I can bring them to Christ. | | 1Cr 9:20 | When I am with the Jews, I become one of them so that I can bring them to Christ. When I am with those who follow the Jewish laws, I do the same, even though I am not subject to the law, so that I can bring them to Christ. | | 1Cr 9:21 | When I am with the Gentiles who do not have the Jewish law, I fit in with them as much as I can. In this way, I gain their confidence and bring them to Christ. But I do not discard the law of God; I obey the law of Christ. | | 1Cr 9:22 | When I am with those who are oppressed, I share their oppression so that I might bring them to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone so that I might bring them to Christ. | | 1Cr 9:23 | I do all this to spread the Good News, and in doing so I enjoy its blessings. |
| ►Once we make a decision to repent of our sins and follow Christ we are making a commitment to keep growing in our new life.
| 2Cr 5:17 | What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! |
►There is no room for pride, life is short and we should be servants to all people and do our best to reach and disciple the lost and scattered sheep of God and exclude no one.
| | Phl 2:5 | Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had. | | Phl 2:6 | Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. | | Phl 2:7 | He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. | | Phl 2:8 | And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal's death on a cross. |
►God gets all the Glory for what we do that is good and we are to be there to build up people in Christ and NOT tear people down. The Body of Christ is to unite together and be a strong not to be divided by condemnation, but built up in Love.
| Eph 4:11 | He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. | | Eph 4:12 | Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ, | | Eph 4:13 | until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ. |
►We are not to be jealous or try to out-do people but to help each other grow and bring the community together in unity with Christ. True friendships are important and not to be taken for granted.
| Pro 27:17 | As iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend. |
| ►All that we do should be done with our very best effort for God and for His will. It's not about impressing people - it's about Loving God and Serving Him to the best of our ability.
| Col 3:23 | Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. |
| ►Women are just as valuable as men to God and God uses women just as much as men to spread the good news!
| Mat 28:5 | Then the angel spoke to the women. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. | | Mat 28:6 | He isn't here! He has been raised from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. | | Mat 28:7 | And now, go quickly and tell his disciples he has been raised from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember, I have told you." | | Mat 28:8 | The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened but also filled with great joy, and they rushed to find the disciples to give them the angel's message. | | Mat 28:9 | And as they went, Jesus met them. "Greetings!" he said. And they ran to him, held his feet, and worshiped him. |
| Jhn 4:28 | The woman left her water jar beside the well and went back to the village and told everyone, | | Jhn 4:29 | "Come and meet a man who told me everything I ever did! Can this be the Messiah?" | | Jhn 4:30 | So the people came streaming from the village to see him. |
